Donegal Local Development Community (DLDC) and Ionad Tempall Chróine
The DLDC kindly invited us to join their global growing course in September 2024, thanks to Joanne Butler for coordinating the course and Ionad Teampall Chróine for hosting. It provided us the opportunity to meet many local growers who take the time to study and develop knowledge concerning the local environment, soil conditions, climate conditions and how best to adapt their choice of crop to best suit the conditions they experience in their own gardens, plots and polytunnels.
There was a powerful discussion on the array of crop grown by each individual and how they manage the current conditions in Donegal to foster optimum growth of their chosen crops. In addition we had the opportunity to explain how our product Garden Force can help the local community with the current challenges of soil, leaf and plant health, the engagement and interest in our product was fascinating.
In addition to meeting these wonderfully enthusiast growers we also had the time to sample many beautiful international dishes kindly prepared by each participant, it was amazing to say the least.
